WordCamp Sylhet 2024 was an exciting event that brought together WordPress fans from different places. Held in the beautiful city of Sylhet, the event was full of learning, creativity, and sharing ideas.
Whether you were a developer, designer, blogger, or business owner, there was something for everyone. The event had interesting talks, hands-on workshops, and great opportunities to meet new people and learn more about WordPress.

Event details
WordCamp Sylhet 2024 was a two-day event held on 10 and 11 May at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST), Sylhet, Bangladesh. It was a two-day event, a contributor day for collaboration, and a conference day full of learning and networking opportunities.
The event was attended not only by Bangladeshi WordPress enthusiasts but also by many people from all over the world.

- Tickets: Priced at BDT 800 ($7)
- Expected attendees: 1,000+ from all over the country
- Organized by: 31 Volunteers and the Sylhet WordPress community
Contributor day
The event officially started with Contributors Day and on that day everyone contributed to the improvement and development of WordPress including developers, designer, writers, marketers, and even newbies. Attendees can join various teams like Core, Design, Polyglots, and more, based on their interests.
We joined the support team and helped WordPress users by answering questions as far as possible. The support team plays an important role in the event by providing information to the attendees.
The day started with registration at 9 am and ended with closing remarks at 3.45 pm. There was an hour break in between and we took pictures together before leaving the venue. And it can be said that I have learned a lot by working in a group, mostly teamwork and leadership.
Conference day
The conference day is the main attraction of a WordCamp, with participants getting the opportunity to learn from seniors in their industry. They are exposed to new technologies and get an opportunity to share problems with experts.
The conference day of WordCamp Sylhet 2024 starts at 7 am, but the main speaking session starts at 8.30 pm and ends at 5.25 pm.
The sessions covered topics like marketing, development, business, community, design, support, and career-building, with speakers such as Atikur Rahman Tonmoy, Subhasis Chatterjee, Md Saif Hassan, Syed Abdullah Galib, Tanvirul Haque, and the number of total speakers were around 25.
We talked to many industry experts about their journey and shared our problems with them.
Organizers and sponsors
The entire event is organized by the local WordPress community and sponsored by some national and international companies. Credit goes to all organizers, volunteers, sponsors, and participants for organizing this unreal event. About 30 volunteers worked hard to make this program possible.

Our Experience
Attending WordCamp Sylhet 2024 was an amazing experience! We got the chance to connect with so many passionate WordPress enthusiasts and professionals. Contributor Day, in particular, was inspiring and we left the team with new skills, ideas, and friendships.
