WordCamp Dhaka 2019 was our first WordCamp and we were very excited to attend. It was an amazing experience from start to finish. Not only from Dhaka but people from around the world participated in this amazing event.

As WordCamp Dhaka was our first WordCamp, we had no idea about it. But at the end of the day, we learned a lot, connected with a lot of new people, and got the motivation to join other WordCamps as well in the future.

Event details of WordCamp Dhaka 2019

WordCamp Dhaka 2019 stage

WordCamp Dhaka 2019 was held on 28th September at the International Convention City, Bashundhara, and it was a one-day event. The main event started at 8 AM.

The event ended with a Quiz & Giveaway, followed by a Closing Ceremony at 5:20 PM, and a Buffer Time Before the After Party at 5:45 PM, with the After Party starting at 7:00 PM.

Personal experience

WordCamp Dhaka entrance

We really enjoyed the event and learned a lot about teamwork and met a lot of new people. By joining WordCamp we learned some troubleshooting techniques and discovered new resources.

There are three things we liked most about WordCamp Dhaka 2019:

  • Sessions: We tried to attend every session and those were helpful for us. They discussed WordPress problems and solutions and many new technologies.
  • Networking: It’s a great opportunity to meet think-alike people.
  • After-Party: The after-party is another great gathering to join. Because, after learning from the session, the attendees enjoyed the evening by dancing, having fun and spending time with other new people.

Code of conduct

There were many codes of conduct at the event. Key points include:

  • Expected behavior: Be respectful, avoid discriminatory speech, and engage positively.
  • Unacceptable behavior: Harassment, offensive comments, inappropriate physical contact, and disruptive behavior are strictly prohibited.
  • Consequences: Violators may be expelled from the event without a refund.
  • Reporting issues: Participants are encouraged to report any inappropriate behavior to organizers, who are prepared to assist in resolving the matter.
