Contributor Day

WordCamp Asia 2023 stage

WordCamp Asia 2023 Contributor Day took place on 17 February 2023 at the ICONSIAM Main Hall, 7th floor. This was the opening day of the three-day WordCamp Asia event. It was the most enjoyable day for us because we did many projects with a team and learned how to work with a team.

Here’s an overview of the main activities of Contributor Day:

  • In-Person Participation: Attendees who joined the event in person had to register for Contributor Day and arrive at the venue by 9 AM. Volunteers helped guide participants to specific rooms where various teams focused on WordPress development and community building.
  • Virtual Participation: Those unable to attend in person could participate online via the Make WordPress Slack. Virtual attendees were able to contribute through different teams by joining relevant Slack channels.
  • Team-Based Contributions: There were 21 different WordPress teams that participants could join based on their interests. I joined the Documentation team and I have contributed as much as I can.

Conference Day 1 & 2

Conference Day is the main part of WordCamp and Conference Day at WordCamp Asia 2022 was held over 2 days(18,19 Fab). The day started with registration at 8.30 am and all present participated in the opening remarks.

Then the main part of the day begins, with all the speakers giving their speeches one by one. This was the coolest part, learned a lot of new things, got inspiration and met some brilliant people. There were enough breaks between sessions, so we didn’t feel any boredom.
